  • Women of 65 years and older
  • Postmenopausal women aged 65 years with risk factors
  • Men aged 70 years and older. All adults with fractures on small trauma.
  • All adults with fractures or conditions with associated low bone mass, or bone mass loss.
  • Adults who take drug with accompanying effects of bone mass decreasing or bone losing.
  • Everybody with pharmalogical treatment prediction.
  • Every pataient undergoing therapy with the aim of monitoring therapy effects.
  • SEverbody who is not under therapy but where it can be seen that bone mass loss will lead to introducing therapy.

    Women who stop taking estrogen therapy should also be considered as indicated for determining bone density according to the above stated indications.
